Travel Guide: Camilla's Bali

Posted on 26 October 2016

Our Sales & Marketing Manager, Camilla shares her tips for Bali.

Who doesn't love Bali? A place I seem to keep going back to and never having enough time to get through my list. There's always must-try restaurants opening and new areas to discover. Here's a list from my most recent trip.

EAT

Nook

Breakfast with a view! This restaurant is set amongst rice fields. Make sure you get a seat outside on the far corners.

For a very Instagrammable meal and it’s healthy. Bonus!

Warung Bambuku

A no frills, tasty local joint where you can choose your favourite dishes and enjoy freshly squeezed juices.

A smoothie bowl shack with four locations, need I say more.

Great setting with Indonesian food made for sharing and yummy cocktails.

VISIT

If you’re looking for a place to stay that makes you feel like you are worlds away, look no further.  Overlooking the Ayung River, Bambu Indah is an eco boutique hotel with restored antique Javanese bridal homes and natural swimming ponds. You're surrounded by lush greenery, mountains and rice paddies.

Pura Tanah Lot Temple
Yes, this is one of the most visited and photographed temples in Bali, but for good reason, its off shore setting is beautiful. For the Balinese, it's one of the most important sea temples. Many people come here to watch the sunset. I'd recommend visiting during high tide.

SHOP

A beautiful store in Ubud crafting handmade ceramics from stone, clay and porcelain. They also have their own gelato shop in a different location.

I'm always lusting over the pieces here, from silks to lace. The only thing stopping me is the price tag.

Chic resort wear with a twist, I like their super thin fabrics.

Interior store with a cafe in Seminyak. It's like you stepped into a Pinterest mood board for your future holiday home.

EXPERIENCE

Pamper yourself, I mean you are on holiday after all. Book yourself a Full Body Massage with Flower Bath at Bodyworks located in Seminyak. This treatment ends with a soak in a bath of flower petals. Zen!
