MISCHA Travel Diaries #076 - Topkapi Palace, Istanbul

Here is one of the millions of photos I took while on a recent trip to magical Istanbul. It was so interesting to see the universal use of the hexagon, and here in a mix of Baroque and Ottoman style architecture.
Originally the main royal residence for the Ottoman sultans, the Topkapi Palace built in the 15th century, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site with extensive gardens, beautiful courtyards and chambers and houses important holy relics of the Muslim world.
